Bronchicine™CAe Bordetella Bronchiseptica Bacterin Cellular Antigen Extract Description Bronchicine™CAe is prepared from antigenic material extracted from the Bordetella bronchiseptica organism. A highly immunogenic strain of B. bronchiseptica is grown to a high yield, then subjected to a unique process which extracts the antigens from the Bordetella cells. The residual cell debris is then removed, resulting in a product which retains the desirable immunologic qualities of the whole cell, while reducing toxic and other undesirable side effects with whole cell bacterins. Approved Uses Bronchicine™CAe is approved for: For the vaccination of normal, healthy puppies and dogs as an aid in the control of canine infectious tracheobronchitis (canine cough) caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica. Key Features The new formulation process significantly removes extraneous gram-negative cellular debris, proteinaceous material and lipopolysaccharides. Convenient SC parenteral administration. Ready to use, does not require reconstitution. Non-adjuvanted, which minimizes local reactions. Unique Cellular Antigen extraction process antigenic potency and minimizes potential for reactions. Single antigen vaccine. Easily supplements vaccination programs and provides planned protection against canine cough. New pack size: Now Available in 25x1 ds pack and 5x10 dose vial. Suggested Vaccination Program Puppies: Initial vaccination of puppies is recommended at 8 weeks of age.The effect of the presence of maternal antibodies to B. bronchiseptica upon the puppy’s ability to develop an active immune response has not been ascertained. However, puppies from immune bitches usually have low titers to B. bronchiseptica and this antibody usually disappears by the time the puppy is 4-6 weeks of age. Adult Dogs: Dogs not previously vaccinated against B. bronchiseptica require two initial doses. Annual revaccination with a single 1 ml dose is recommended. Precautions Store at 35-45F (2-7C).
